Mikhail Semenovich Panin

Mikhail Semenovich Panin was born on February 6, 1940 in the village of Kamyshenka, Borodulikha district, Semipalatinsk region. In 1963, after graduating with honors from the Faculty of Biology and Chemistry of the Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute, he was appointed to the teaching position at the Department of Chemistry. Throughout his professional life, he held the positions of head of the department, dean of the Faculty of Biology and Chemistry, vice-rector and rector of the Pedagogical Institute.
M. Panin is a scientist who has devoted his life to the science of biogeochemistry. He has been working tirelessly in the field of heavy metals and radionuclides in the biosphere of Kazakhstan for many years. Today he is the author of 220 scientific papers and 4 monographs. His research materials were presented at 87 international, republican and regional conferences. In addition, 45 methodological and scientific works on higher education issues were published. For many years, M. Panin was a member of the Committee of Biogeochemical Districts of the former USSR.
The results of his scientific work were introduced into the practice of regional national economy and the educational process of the university. Under the leadership of M. Panin, postgraduate and master's degrees in the specialties "Biogeochemistry", "Ecology" were opened at the university, candidate dissertations were defended under his direct supervision, and his students continue their work in the footsteps of the scientist. He continued his many years of research work into a doctoral dissertation, which he successfully defended in November 1999 at the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk.
M.S. Panin was elected an academician of the International Academy for the Humanization of Education, an academician of the International Academy of Acmeological Sciences, an academician of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a corresponding member of the Academy of Higher Education of Kazakhstan.
Mikhail Semenovich is a "Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Kazakh SSR", a member of the Small Assembly of the People of East Kazakhstan. For many years of scientific and pedagogical activity, he was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor, the Order of Merit, the Order of Merit for Merit, the Order of Merit for Merit, the Order of Merit for Merit, the Order of Merit for the Kazakh SSR, the Order of Merit for Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Order of Merit for the Ministry of Education, etc. In 1997, by the decision of the akim of Semey on October 28, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Semey".
