NURBAHILA CHINKEBAEVA
Chinkebaeva Nurbagila was born on October 2, 1952, in the village of Ulgili Malshi, located in the Kökpekti district of East Kazakhstan. Her inclination towards art and passion for creativity were evident from an early age. In 1974, she enrolled in a music college in the city of Zhambyl, studying to become a director, and graduated with honors in 1977. To further enhance her professional education, she continued her studies at the N.K. Krupskaya Pedagogical Institute in Semey, establishing herself as a qualified specialist who combined art and pedagogy.
Having closely tied her career to the theater, Nurbagila Chinkebaeva has been serving as the head of the troupe at the Abai Kazakh Musical Drama Theater in Semey since February 8, 1978. Her dedication and responsibility are clearly demonstrated by her over forty years of unwavering service at a single theater.
Her long years of fruitful work in the arts have not gone unnoticed. For her significant contribution to the development of theater art, Nurbagila Chinkebaeva was awarded the honorary title of "Cultural Figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan" in 2004. In 2013, she was specially invited to the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk to celebrate International Theater Day and was awarded a special certificate of appreciation from the East Kazakhstan Regional Department of Culture. Additionally, she participated in the republican theater festival "Greetings from the Stage!" dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the city of Astana and the interregional theater festival held in Pavlodar, further expanding her creative experience.
In 2014, as part of the 80th anniversary celebration of the Abai Kazakh Musical Drama Theater, she was recognized with a commendation from the city council for her fruitful work in the cultural field and her high professional mastery, along with the badge "80 Years of Abai Theater."
Alongside her role as the head of the troupe, Nurbagila Chinkebaeva has also gained recognition as a director. Her staged performances have been highly appreciated by audiences, distinguished by their thematic depth and artistic solutions. Notably, her directorial works include S. Junisov's play "We Became Girls Out of Shame," local author M. Sarseke's comedy "Legal Marriage," as well as E. Eulbaev's "Asar" and L. Simonova's "Sacred Words," which are the results of her directorial explorations.
Moreover, Nurbagila Chinkebaeva has also worked successfully as the author of scripts and director for several performances. In particular:
"Aladdin's Magic Lamp" (fairy tale),
"Little Mukar" (fairy tale),
"Princess Cleopatra and the Sea Queen" (fairy tale) have garnered great enthusiasm from the audience and have earned a rightful place in the theater's repertoire.
