Bolatkali Kazhybekovich Amirkhanov


Born in 1955 in the village of Kumkol, former Aksuat district, East Kazakhstan region. Graduated from the M. Tolebayev Music College of Semey city. He began his career in a military brass band. He worked as a teacher and director of the Makanshi district children's music school and led the "Inzhu Marzhan" folk instrument orchestra. In 1993-1996, he was the artistic director and conductor of the "Konyl Tolkyn" folk instrument orchestra in Urzhar district. In 1997-2016, he worked as the conductor of the "Farabi Sazy" orchestra at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty. He is the author of several songs and works for orchestra. A collection of his works entitled "Arayly Aksuat" has been published. B. Amirkhanov is the holder of the "Cultural Worker" award of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
