SHÜKIMANOV ERKIN TURSYNGALIULY
Date and place of birth:
Erkin Tursyngaliuly Shükimanov was born on September 5, 1973, in the village of Zharbulaq, Makanshy district, currently in East Kazakhstan region.
Education:
In 1990, he graduated from the secondary school named after K. Satpayev in the village of Sulutal, Aksuat district.
From 1991 to 1996, he studied at the Faculty of Philology of Shakarim University in Semey city.
In 1996, he entered the J. Elebekov College of Estrada and Circus in Almaty, and from 1999 to 2004, he studied at the Department of Folk Singing of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, deepening his skills in traditional singing and vocal mastery.
Main activity / direction:
Erkin Shükiman is a prominent performer of Kazakh traditional song art. He is recognized as a master performer of Abai's songs as well as Kazakh folk songs. Since 1999, he has been working as a singer within the "Kazconcert" association, and he also engages in creative and scientific-methodological work.
Achievements, titles:
Erkin Shükiman is a laureate of republican and international song competitions:
— Laureate of the J. Elebekov Republican Singers Competition in 1998;
— Laureate of the International "Shabyt" Festival in 2000;
— Laureate of the Republican A. Qashaubayev Singers Competition in 2002.
He is also awarded the title of Honored Worker of Kazakhstan.
Current position:
Erkin Shükiman continues to perform on stage as a traditional singer and vocalist and actively engages in promoting the national musical heritage through his creative work.
