Ötepbaev Nurbulan Nughimanuly. 1951-2024

Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Graphics of the Semey Pedagogical Institute named after N.K. Krupskaya (1973). Since 1991, he has been teaching at the Shakarim State Pedagogical Institute, serving as a professor in the Department of Fine Arts and Drawing. Member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan (1997), member of the Union of Designers of Kazakhstan (2004). Chairman of the Semey branch of the Union of Designers of Kazakhstan (2004). Participated in regional, national, and international exhibitions since 1986. His solo exhibitions have been held in Semey, Almaty, Pavlodar, Ust-Kamenogorsk, and Astana. Scholarship holder of the "Art" charity fund of the Akim of Semey region (1996); winner of the award from the Akims of Semey and East Kazakhstan region in the "Fine Arts" nomination (2000, 2002); author of the emblem project of Semey city (2002); awarded with the badges "Cultural Worker" from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2009). Received a certificate of honor from the Committee for the Protection of the Kazakh World and a medal for contributions to the development of Kazakh design on the 20th anniversary of the Union of Designers of Kazakhstan. Recipient of the Grant and Diploma named after the brothers Zhusipbek and Kenzhebek Daukeev (2010); awarded with the "For Outstanding Labor" medal (2011). Artistic editor of the "Shakarim" scientific-pedagogical journal. Author of more than fifty scientific articles, over ten educational-methodological works and albums. Illustrated more than twenty scientific and journalistic publications, including works by I. Musin, M. Ospanov, D. Seisenov, E. Sydykov, B. Ersalimov, A. Isakhanov, T. Dosayev, M. Malyshev, V. Poznansky, and others.
