Ivachev Ivan Grigorievich

Ivachev Ivan Grigoryevich. 1893-1955

Born in the village of Zyryan in the Zmeinogorsk district, in the family of Ivachev Grigory Lvovich, a technician-draftsman of the Zyryan mining administration. He comes from a family of stone carvers and artists from the Kolyvan stone processing factory. Participant in World War I and the Great Patriotic War.

Decorated the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Zhambyl Zhabayev (Semey Pedagogical Institute, 1946). In the 1940s, he worked as an artist in the Department of Arts in Semey, and was a member of the commission for organizing and holding amateur artists' competitions. He created a series of paintings titled "Ancient Semey Views." Participant in city and republican exhibitions, including: Exhibition of Semey Artists (Semey, 1925); Fine Arts Exhibition (Kyzylorda, 1926); the first traveling exhibition in Kazakhstan (1928); Exhibition of Works by Semey Artists for the May 1st Holiday (Semey, 1935); Exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Kazakh SSR (Almaty, 1950); Traveling exhibition of paintings and graphics by Kazakh artists (1951, 1954, 1956). Candidate of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan. Served as a junior researcher at the A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts and the A. Pushkin Literary Memorial Museum in Semey.

His works are preserved in the A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts and the A. Pushkin Literary Memorial Museum.
