Sayabaev Muratkazy Imangazyuly

Sayabaev Muratkazy Imangazyuly was born on September 14, 1949, in the city of Shaushik, People's Republic of China. In 1955, when my parents returned to their homeland, Kazakhstan, I came along. In 1956, I started first grade in the village of Egin-su, located 20 kilometers from the village of Urzhar. After completing the four-year primary school in this village, I attended the Aбай secondary school in Urzhar. While at school, I excelled in literature, history, physics, and chemistry. The school published a newspaper called "Shanshu," and I was a member of its editorial board. After successfully finishing the Aбай secondary school in 1966, I went to work in the second virgin land campaign to develop sheep farming. At that time, there was a Komsomol call in Kazakhstan to increase the sheep population to 50 million. I contributed to this by writing a problem article titled "What is the Use of Many Words" for the "Zhas Alash" newspaper, which was published and became the problem article of the year in history. Professor Tauman Amandassov, who was the dean of the journalism faculty for many years, included this article in his book "Genres of Kazakh Press" as a new piece that raised a problem. From 1966 to 1967, I worked in sheep farming, and in September 1967, I was admitted to the No. 2 communication school in Almaty. In 1968, I graduated from the No. 2 school and joined a large organization called ETUS (Exploitation Technical Node Communication) in the city of Sarkand, Almaty region. I was then sent to the city of Usharal. In 1968, I was hired by the district communication node of Urzhar and was sent to work as a senior technician at the radio node in the village of 1 May. On May 22, 1969, I fulfilled my military duty to the homeland in the city of Spassk for two years. In 1971, upon returning from the army, I started working at the district communication department. That year, my plan to write articles came to fruition, and I worked as a translator for the district newspaper "Krasnaya-Znamya" (Red Banner) through a competition. I collaborated with many prominent figures in our district in significant work and unity. My articles were published in the district newspaper "Kyzyl-tu," the regional newspaper "Semey Tany," and the republican magazine "Kazakh, Cinema Art." In the summer of 1973, I became a member of the USSR Union of Journalists. Additionally, I worked as a regular announcer at the Urzhar district radio station. In 1973, I enrolled in the veterinary and zootechnical technical school in Novopokrovka and graduated in 1975 with a degree in zootechnics. I considered improving my education my primary duty. In 1977, I entered the journalism faculty of KAZGU University. I successfully completed my studies and became the head of the Komsomol youth organization sector in the "Krasnoe Gornye Orly" collective farm. In 1978, I became the chairman of the trade union committee. In November 1983, I joined the agricultural department of the "Lenin Tui - Lenin's Banner" newspaper in the Makanshy district. After working here for a year, I was invited to be a correspondent for the regional "Semey Tany" newspaper. In 1985, I returned to the Makanshy district. During my years at the "Lenin Tui - Lenin's Banner" newspaper, I covered significant events, including the 300th anniversary of Khan Batyr Q. Qabanbay in 1991 and the 125th anniversary of A. Naimanbay in 1992, where I conducted reports from the podium. After the Makanshy district was dissolved, I moved to Almaty and worked at the "Sakshi" magazine, affiliated with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the "Kazakhstan Teacher" magazine, which is under the Ministry of Education and Science. In 2004, I was re-employed by the Urzhar district newspaper where I began my journalistic career and retired in 2012. My eldest daughter Gulzat has two children. My son Kalizhan is a senior lieutenant in the traffic police. My daughter Meruert is a lawyer working at a firm in Astana. In 2019, I was awarded the title of "Honored Citizen" of Urzhar district.
