Aqynzhanov Musatay
(1905-1986)
Born on May 9, 1905, in village No. 13 of the Shyngys volost in Semey (now East Kazakhstan). After graduating from the Semey Pedagogical Technical School (now "M. Auezov Pedagogical College") and the Orenburg Institute of Public Education (now Orenburg State Pedagogical University), he was involved in Komsomol work, while also editing the Semey "Engbekshi Zhas" newspaper and engaging in pedagogical activities. A participant in the Great Patriotic War, M. Aqynzhanov taught at S. M. Kirov Kazakh State University (now Al-Farabi Kazakh National University) after the war, defended his candidate's and then doctoral dissertations. M. B. Aqynzhykov has over a hundred scientific works dedicated to historical and historical-philological topics, including fundamental studies on "The Ethnogenesis of the Kazakh People," "The Education of the Kazakh People," "The Life and Works of Abai," and others. He also worked in the field of fiction and as a translator (translated the works of the classics of Marxism-Leninism into Kazakh).
