Zhunusova Aigul Tursynkankyzy
Zhunusova Aigul Tursynkankyzy was born on November 30, 1964 in the village of Mostik, Beskaragay district, Abay region. After graduating from high school, the young, eager for knowledge and inquisitive Aigul entered the library technical school in Semey and mastered the profession of a librarian.
She began her career in 1983 as an artist-decorator at the central library in the village of Bolshoy Vladimirovka, Beskaragay district. In October 1989, she transferred to the regional universal scientific library named after N.V. Gogol (now named after Abai) in Semey, where she continued to work as a librarian. Her total work experience in the library field is 43 years.
Over the years, Aigul Tursynkankyzy has held various responsible positions with honor. At first, she worked as an artist-decorator in the educational department, then as a senior librarian in the methodology department, and as a manager in the periodicals department and reader service departments. In 2016, when the “Children's Literature Department” was opened in the library for children, she was appointed the first head of this department and directly supervised its systematic development.
Under the leadership of Zhunisova Aigul Tursynkankyzy, the work of the children's literature department rose to a new level. The “Master Hands”, “Magic Brush”, “Paper Miracles”, “Sand Art Therapy” circles worked successfully and made a great contribution to the development of the creative abilities of young readers. In addition, together with the “Center for Special Social Services”, the KMU organized art and craft circles for children and people with disabilities who work at home.
She paid special attention to replenishing the department's funds with new publications for children and actively participated in replenishing the funds of the National Electronic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the “Digital Kazakhstan” project.
Over her long career, Aigul Tursynkankyzy has established herself as a highly responsible and dedicated specialist. Under her leadership, thematic book exhibitions, interactive games, educational and intellectual projects, and various cultural events were held at a high level. She established close ties with higher and specialized secondary educational institutions of the city and implemented many joint projects.
She distinguished herself as a specialist who could quickly communicate with readers and treated their needs with great responsibility. She mastered the UDC and BBK classification systems in systematizing the book collection and always provided professional assistance to readers in choosing literature. She constantly improved her work, strived for innovation, and actively participated in all areas of library work.
Zhunisova Aigul Tursynkankyzy clearly demonstrates such noble qualities as kindness, punctuality, accuracy, simplicity, and responsibility.
Her achievements were recognized and she was awarded with Certificates of Honor from the Department of Culture and Language Development of Semey, the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the East Kazakhstan Region, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a medal dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the badges "Excellence in the field of culture" and "Honored Librarian of Kazakhstan".
Zhunisova Aigul Tursynkankyzy is an experienced and learned person who has left an indelible mark in the field of libraries and is an example for young specialists.
