Nazarkhan Saken Nazarkhanuly

Nazarhan Saken Nazarhanuly was born on April 11, 1964, in the village of Sarzhal, located in the Aбай district of Semey region.
He graduated in 1996 from the Faculty of "Fine Arts, Artistic Work, and Graphics" at Shakarim University in Semey.
He is a well-known craftsman in Kazakhstan, an ethnodesigner, a restorer, an "Outstanding Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan," a member of the Eurasian Designers Union, and an academician of the Kazakh National Academy of Design.
A highly skilled master who has deeply mastered the traditional crafts of the Kazakh people and is successfully working towards the revival and preservation of national cultural heritage.
Using traditional materials such as wood, bone, leather, melchior, and silver, he creates national household items, falconry tools, five weapons, as well as national musical instruments. The master's works are distinguished by their historical accuracy, artistic solutions, and high quality of execution.
The master's works have been highly appreciated at republican and international exhibitions held in Almaty and Astana, receiving various awards. For his exceptional contribution to the development of society, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (2024), the "Outstanding Worker of Culture" badge from the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2024), and the "Abai" medal from the Abai "Zhidebai-Borili" State Museum-Reserve (2024).
