Aydin Junis Khanov (29.01.1985) was born in the village of Kökentau, Zhanasemey district, Abai region. He graduated from Alikhan Bokeikhan University in Semey in 2007 with a degree in "History and Geography." From 2007 to 2009, he pursued a master's degree in "Archaeology and Ethnology" at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, and from 2020 to 2023, he studied for a doctorate in "Archaeology" in the same field at this university.

Aydin Junis Khanov is engaged in the study of the archaeology of ancient and traditional nomadic societies in Kazakhstan, their socio-cultural development, and the processes of adaptation to the natural-ecological environment. In his scientific works, he pays special attention to the comprehensive analysis of material culture data, the application of interdisciplinary methods, and the creation of spatial-ecological models.

Aydin Junis Khanov is the author of more than 50 scientific and popular scientific publications. His works have been published in domestic and international peer-reviewed journals, making a significant contribution to the modern scientific discourse of Kazakhstan archaeology. His research is aimed at rethinking the dynamics of the formation of nomadic societies, their economic strategies, and the interconnections between humans and nature.

Aydin Junis Khanov is also actively involved in scientific-educational and volunteer initiatives. He is the author and coordinator of the "Open Library of Kazakhstan Archaeology" project and the organizer of an international summer archaeological school for young researchers.
