Zarifova Madina Abdrakhmankyzy

Madina Abdrakhmankyzha Zarifova (26.06.1948) – a graduate of the Faculty of History in 1971, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, and scientific secretary of the Semey State Pedagogical Institute.
Born on January 26, 1948, in the city of Semey. She began her career at School No. 14 in Semey, serving as a history teacher from 1971 to 1979. In 1979, she moved to teaching at the N.K. Krupskaya Semey Pedagogical Institute.
From 1982 to 1985, she studied in the targeted postgraduate program at the Institute of Sociology and Youth of the USSR Academy of Sciences (NIISI SiMO APN USSR) in the specialty "13.00.02 – methodology of teaching history."
In 1986, she defended her dissertation on the topic "Methodological Foundations of the History Textbook of the Union Republic" and was awarded the degree of candidate of pedagogical sciences. In 1993, she was granted the title of associate professor and became a corresponding member of the International Academy of Pedagogical Education. She is the author of more than 50 scientific works.
From 1997 to 2000, she headed the Department of History at the N.K. Krupskaya Semey Pedagogical Institute, and from 2001 to 2003, she led the Department of History at Semey State University. She served as the dean of the Faculty of Humanities and later the Faculty of History for about 10 years.
For her outstanding contributions to education and pedagogical science, she was awarded the medal named after I. Altynsarin and the badge of "Excellence in Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
Zarifova M.A. is a corresponding member of the International Academy of Pedagogical Education, a member of the editorial board of the republican scientific and methodological journal "History of Kazakhstan: Teaching in Schools." She is a participant in the projects "Developing Critical Thinking through Reading and Writing" (Democratic Education Center) and "School of Kind Relations for Children" (UNICEF), and a member of the Presidium of the Semey Tatar Public Center.
