Akynzhanov Musatai Bekbolatuly

Aqynzhanov Musatay Bekbolatuly (09.05.1905-1986) – publicist, social activist, educator, translator, Doctor of Historical Sciences.

Musatay Aqynzhanov was born on May 9 in the village of Karauyl, Abai District, Semey Region. He graduated from the Semey Pedagogical Technical School in 1925 and from the People's Education Pedagogical Institute in Orenburg in 1929.

From 1925 to 1941, he managed regional and provincial newspapers and magazines, served as a special correspondent for republican press, and held positions as secretary of the regional, district, and provincial Komsomol committees, secretary of the district party committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan in Semey and Almaty, and director of the Kazakh branch of the Marx Engels Lenin (IMEL) Institute under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.

He participated in the Great Patriotic War. After that, he engaged in scientific and pedagogical work at KazMU. He defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "The Origin of the Kazakh People."

He published several monographs and booklets on historical and historical-literary topics. His dramatic works include "Isatay and Makhambet," "Syrym Datov," "Bagytai – Bagila," "Frunze," "Victory Cane," "Shepherd Girl," "Golden Saka," "Secrets of the Golden Valley," "Ybyray Altynsarin," and others.
