“Department of Internal Policy, Culture, Language Development, and Sports of the Abai Region, Janysemey District” Municipal State Institution “Bokenchi Rural Club” under the “Cultural House of Janysemey District”

Bokenchi village is located 37 kilometers from the city of Semey. The rural club was opened in 1965 and currently occupies 48.1 square meters of the municipal building free of charge.

The Bokenchi village club is a public cultural center aimed at developing the cultural and spiritual life of the village residents. Various cultural and public events, festive concerts, meetings, educational and cognitive gatherings are organized at the club. Additionally, conditions are created for the youth and children to spend their free time effectively, and activities aimed at developing art and creativity are carried out. All events are conducted at the initiative of the village akim in agreement with all institutions in the village. Each new project implemented has its own significance and meaning. Club activities are also conducted systematically.

Achievements of 2025

1. Participation in the “Kazakhstan – Our Common Roof” amateur performers contest organized by the Cultural House of Janysemey District, winning the Grand Prize.

2. The “Darigai” mothers' ensemble participated in the gala concert of the “Abai Land - A Mine of Art” regional amateur performers contest, receiving the “Shabyt” nomination for Janysemey District.

3. On December 26, 2025, at the “Best of the Year - 2025” ceremony, which recognized contributions to promoting spiritual and cultural heritage and enhancing the importance of national traditions in Abai Region, the “Best Rural Cultural Institution” title was awarded to the Alghabas Rural Club of Janysemey District.
