The Zhanitkey rural library of the Aksuat district

The foundation of Zhanitkey village in the Yrgizbay rural district was laid in 1935, during which a red yurt was established for the purpose of educating the population, and although there were few books, there was no librarian. However, those who were literate were tasked by the collective farm leader to bring additional books. In 1964, it separated from the Amanzhol Imankulov collective farm and was named the "Sulutal" state farm, under the Ernazhar village council.

There were also libraries in the Uang and Kozhakeldi settlements of the Yrgizbay rural district, but those libraries were closed due to optimization. During the reduction, the books from the library were transferred to the library in Zhanitkey, and the book collection of the library in the Uang settlement was added to the book collection of the Aksuat central library.

Our library actively participates in the annual KITAP TIME nationwide book festival and the "One Country - One Book" campaigns, organizing various public events to attract readers to the library.

One of the main areas of our library is local history. In the territory of the Yrgizbay rural district, there is the mausoleum of Yrgizbay Doskhanuly, a spiritual treasure of the East, and the historical site of the Borytostagan mountain, which has not yet been studied and whose secrets remain undisclosed, serves as the main focus of local history work.

The library's collection is being enriched with the works of local writers published under the "Abai Way" library project, supported by the governor of Abai region since 2023, as well as books donated by the residents of our village through a state order.
