Brief history: A ballroom dance club opened in 1989 at Secondary School No. 28. In 1991, it moved to the new Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity and became known as the "Natalie Dance and Sports Club." A distinctive feature of our club's dancers was that most of them had previously been members of the "BiS" children's circus. By simultaneously practicing acrobatics, aerial gymnastics, balancing, juggling, and dancing, they demonstrated incredible results in both dance and circus arts. At the end of 2008, the decision was made to move from the Palace. We found a larger space in a dilapidated building on Internatsionalnaya Street. Together with older students and caring parents, we renovated it ourselves, and in September 2009, the largest hall in the city opened, where we still operate today. In addition to ballroom dancing and circus arts, there was a need to develop modern choreography, folk and classical dance. Therefore, in February 2013, we changed our name to the Children's and Youth Cultural Center "Empire of Dance." The main goal of our work is to create conditions for the formation of creatively developed individuals, attracting children, teenagers and young people to regular dance sport and art classes, developing physical and creative abilities, and instilling general moral and ethical principles. I would like to consider our most important achievement to be the fact that many of our students, after completing their training, continue their creative activities, including outside of Kazakhstan, demonstrating professionalism and a high level of skill. I will mention only the most prominent of them: Evgeny Kosyachkin - six-time champion of the Altai Territory in the European Dance Sport program, now an honored coach, a first-category judge, lives and works in Barnaul; Nikita Lysenko - actor of the Time Dance Theater and founder of a juggling school in Novosibirsk; Amir Shubarov - works in the modeling business in Los Angeles; Evgeniya Burnashova is a circus performer and founder of a circus arts studio in Cologne. Asel Utulenova is the founder of the Relax Pro dance school in Astana and the author of the Mind Freestyle method and the Jasmine Dance movement. Svetlana Boyarskikh is the creator of the well-known show ballet "Exclusive" in our city and the organizer and director of the event agency "Your Wedding." Her achievements in dance sport include prizes and finals at official dance sport competitions (Kazakhstan championships, Kazakhstan cups in various age categories) in individual competitions. The most significant event of 2025 is the inclusion of our student, Maratkyzy Ademі, in the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Festival awards include the Grand Prix, first place and a cash prize at the regional choreographic arts festival "Art Open – 2024," first place in the Jas Daryn International Dance Drive Competition and Festival, and first place in the ALTYN ABAI International Multi-Genre Competition "Energy of Autumn." Note: Our center employs wonderful teachers, masters of their craft – Malika Ernarovna Erbolat, Elonna Konstantinovna Maznitsyna, and Natalia Nikolaevna Nadezhdina. Our plans for the near future include attracting young specialists to expand our teaching staff and range of services, as well as strengthening our material and technical resources.
