1. Spiritual History / History and Mission of the Institution

The state institution "Department of Culture, Language Development and Archives of Abai Region" established the "Regional Center for Culture and Folk Creativity" communal state treasury enterprise in 2023.

The institution is one of the important organizations included in the structural system of the culture sector aimed at developing the cultural space of the newly established Abai region.

The head of the center is Sultanov Erlan Maratuly!

Since its establishment, the main goal of the center has been to enhance the cultural and spiritual potential of the region, develop folk creativity, promote national values, and improve the qualifications of cultural workers.

The institution systematically carries out work aimed at promoting the spiritual heritage of the sacred region inhabited by great figures such as Abai, Shakarim, and Mukhtar Auezov in a modern format.

Today, the philosophy of the center is "Preserving the spiritual essence of the people and renewing it through creativity".

2. Service Direction / Main Work Direction

The main service direction of the center is to develop the culture and folk creativity sector, organize and implement cultural and educational projects.

The institution coordinates the work of all district and city cultural houses and club institutions in the region, providing methodological and creative support for the development of folk art groups.

• "Abai's Land - A Treasure of Art" regional festival of folk artists;

• "Abyl Mura" national crafts competition, held annually at the regional and national levels.

• "Open Microphone" project, a unique cultural project aimed at effectively utilizing the leisure time of city residents.
