“State Archive of Beskaragay District” KMG
The “State Archive of Beskaragay District” KMG is a legal entity in the form of a communal state enterprise with operational management rights.
Based on the decision No. 448 of the Semey Regional Executive Committee dated December 7, 1988, and the decision No. 258-20 of the Executive Committee of the Beskaragay District Council of People's Deputies dated December 22, 1988, the Beskaragay economic accounting archive was opened in January 1989.
The archive provided services for the acceptance of documents from institutions, organizations, collective farms, and rural councils, ensured the preservation of documents, executed social-legal inquiries, created and developed the nomenclature of cases for institutions, and conducted scientific-technical expertise on the value of documents.
Based on the decision No. 286-18 of the Beskaragay District Administration dated June 5, 1992, regarding the "Reorganization of the district economic accounting archive into the district state archive," the Beskaragay economic accounting archive was reorganized into the Beskaragay Archive under the district administration.
According to the Decree No. 3482 of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 3, 1997, on "Changes in the Administrative-Territorial Structure of Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, and North Kazakhstan Regions," Semey Region was included in East Kazakhstan Region, and Beskaragay District became part of East Kazakhstan Region.
By the Decree No. 887 of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 3, 2022, in accordance with Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on "Administrative-Territorial Structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan," Abai Region was established, and Beskaragay District became part of Abai Region.
The main subject of the service is the implementation of a unified state policy in the field of archival affairs and documentation formation in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The “State Archive of Beskaragay District” KMG carries out the functions of collecting, permanently storing, and organizing the use of documents from the National Archive Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The list of institutions, organizations, and enterprises that are sources of accumulation for the “State Archive of Beskaragay District” KMG includes 49 institutions and organizations from Beskaragay District.
As of January 1, 2026, there are 117 archival funds in storage from the years 1876–1916 and 1924–2015; 32,920 storage units, including 32,920 paper-based storage units. Documents in permanent storage are scanned in the archive and later entered into the “E-archive” automated system. To date, 2,954 storage units have been entered, which constitutes 8.9% of the total document volume.
To obtain an archival reference, it can be done through the following methods.
According to the order No. 159 of the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 29, 2020, on "Approval of the Rules for Providing State Services in the Field of Archival Affairs," changes and additions were made by the order No. 312 of the Acting Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 19, 2021, regarding the acceptance and issuance of applications for references, copies of archival documents, or excerpts from archives. The result of the state service is provided only through:
1) The "Government for Citizens" Joint-Stock Company;
2) The "Electronic Government" Web Portal (E-Signature) www.egov.kz;
3) The Electronic Services Center (E-Signature) https://e-vko.gov.kz;
4) Through the office of the service provider.
According to Article 11 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Language, the response to the application is provided in the language of the application.
The service is free of charge.
