Today, Akim of the region Berik Ualiuly held a meeting with representatives of national art on the occasion of March 18 – National Clothing Day, within the framework of the Nauryznama decade taking place on the eve of the Nauryz holiday.

The head of the region met with artists who will represent the Abai Region at the republican team aitys “Zhaiyk kelip Ertiske kosylganda”, which will take place tomorrow in the regional center, and, as a manifestation of Kazakh tradition, draped chapans over their shoulders.

Aitys akyns, zhyrau and terme performers, kuyshi musicians and other representatives of national art were presented with uniform branded chapans and were shown special honor.

During the meeting, the Akim of the region wished them success in the competition that elevates the spirit of the nation and upholds the prestige of the art of words, and expressed confidence that they would represent the region with dignity.

In turn, the representatives of art, who carry the sacred essence of poetry and kuy, aitys and terme, expressed gratitude for the respect shown and noted that they would make every effort to uphold the honor of the Abai Region and justify the trust of the people at the upcoming aitys.
