Center History
The "Kurchatov City State Language Teaching Center" was established by the decree No. 1727 of the Kurchatov City Administration dated May 21, 2007.
By decree No. 1370 dated February 21, 2013, the name of the "Kurchatov City State Language Teaching Center" was changed to "Abaï Region Kurchatov City Language Teaching Center" KMG.
On September 16, 2022, by decree No. 135, the name of the "Abaï Region Kurchatov City Language Teaching Center" KMG was changed to "Abaï Region Kurchatov City Language Teaching Center" KMG.
The center is subordinate to the Department of Culture, Language Development, Physical Education, and Sports of Abaï Region Kurchatov City.
The "Abaï Region Kurchatov City Language Teaching Center" KMG is located at 4 Independence Street, Kurchatov City. The educational institution is rented free of charge. The total area is 77 square meters. The language teaching center is equipped with 3 offices (director, accountant, teachers' office), 1 multimedia-linguaphone cabinet, electronic, educational-methodological literature, and various dictionaries.

Activities
To implement production and economic activities in the field of education, develop and expand the application of the state language, and form a multilingual personality adapted to current socio-economic conditions.
Implementation of the "Concept for the Development of Language Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023 - 2029," approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on October 16, 2023, No. 914;
- Improving the teaching of the state and English languages, developing infrastructure;
- Developing programs, methodological guidelines, and educational materials for language teaching;
- Organizing and conducting events aimed at the development of state and other languages;
- Establishing a standardized system for teaching the Kazakh language to adults in Kurchatov City;
- Training civil servants based on the QAZTEST system and enabling them to obtain QAZTEST certificates.
The goal of the center's activities is to create the necessary organizational and material-technical conditions within the framework of implementing the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Languages.
The main mission of the center is to strengthen the role of the state language in public life and to form a multilingual, cultured personality that meets modern requirements.

Implementing a harmonious language policy that ensures the wide use of the state and English languages while preserving the languages of all ethnic groups living in the region.
Teaching Process
The teaching of the Kazakh language is conducted based on the national standard and methodological materials of the Sh. Shayakhmetov National Center for Language Development "Til-Qazyna" according to the "Unified Typical Program for Teaching the Kazakh Language."
The name of the educational-methodological complex and teaching materials organizing the state language course is: THE NATIONAL STANDARD OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN (KR ST 1926-2023) typical program, lexical and grammatical minimums for levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 prepared by the Sh. Shayakhmetov National Scientific-Practical Center "Til-Qazyna" in 2024, "Kazakh Language A1 Basic Level and A2 Basic Level," 2025 "Kazakh Language B1 Intermediate Level, B2 Upper Intermediate Level" teaching materials, "Til-Qural" A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 level "Kazakh Language" textbooks.
The teaching process is organized according to five levels of language proficiency. Knowledge is assessed according to the "Qaztest" system, and certificates and diplomas are issued.
The state language curriculum is structured for 60/120 hours, and 120-hour courses are taught for the English language.
Systematic work is being carried out using advanced technologies and effective methods in mastering the state and English languages. Currently, certificates and diplomas are awarded to those who complete 4 and 8-month courses according to their levels.

Achievements and Awards
On September 4, 2025, on the occasion of the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan, the team of the Kurchatov City Language Teaching Center was awarded in the "Path of Wisdom" nominations at the intellectual game "Quick Mind and Eloquent Speech," organized by the Linguistic Center of Abaï Region.
On April 23, 2025, the team of the Language Teaching Center was awarded a diploma at the "BOOK QUIZ" intellectual game organized for the "National Book Day" celebration.
On September 5, 2025, Ainash Madaniyatovna Temirbekova, the director of the Language Teaching Center, was awarded the "Honorary Certificate" by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for actively participating in the implementation of the language policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and contributing to the promotion and development of the state language.
In September 2025, on the occasion of the 180th anniversary of Abai, Ainash Madaniyatovna Temirbekova, the director of the Language Teaching Center, was awarded a letter of appreciation from the governor of Abaï Region.
In September 2025, on the occasion of the Day of Languages of Kazakhstan, for her contribution to expanding the scope of the state language and enhancing its status, Ainash Madaniyatovna Temirbekova, the director of the Language Teaching Center, was awarded a letter of appreciation from the military unit No. 3514.
Based on the results of 2025, Bakytgul Sovietovna Maikybaeva, a teacher at the Kurchatov City Language Teaching Center, was awarded a diploma as the winner of the "Language Support" title by the city mayor.
Material and Technical Base
The center has 1 multimedia-linguaphone cabinet (for teaching state and English languages). In total, the center has: 13 computers, 1 printer, 2 boards, 6 cabinets, 10 tables, 15 chairs, and 1 armchair. High-speed internet is installed. There are sufficient technical teaching tools, including an interactive board, electronic textbooks, methodological and educational materials, dictionaries, diagrams, and visual aids.

Number of events held in 2025 – 45
On April 7, 2025, a diagnostic testing was conducted based on the QAZTEST system to increase the share of the Kazakh language in public service, organized by the National Testing Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Linguistic Center of Abaï Region, in accordance with the action plan for the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Language Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029. Employees from various institutions and organizations in the region participated in the diagnostic testing, with a total of 108 people taking the test.
From January 9-10, 2025, the campaign "Let's Speak Kazakh!" was held.
On January 14, 2025, a game lesson titled "The Interesting World of the Kazakh Language" took place.
On February 6, 2025, a game lesson titled "Sport Time" was held for English course listeners.
The "Kurchatov City Language Teaching Center" KMG accepted the challenge organized in honor of the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and thinker Abai Kunanbaev, and sent it to the "Language Teaching Center of Beskaragay District" KMG.
On February 13, 2025, in order to implement the Concept for the Development of Language Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029, the listeners of the Language Teaching Center wrote a dictation on the topic "My Language is the Proof of My Support."
On February 18, 2025, a round table titled "My Mother Tongue is the Voice of My Heart" was held, organized by the Language Teaching Center and the House of Friendship.
On April 16, 2025, a city competition titled "Language is the Foundation of Unity" was held among listeners who mastered three languages.
On April 17, 2025, a master class titled "Let's Speak, Let's Understand, Let's Respect!" was held.
On April 29, 2025, a quiz lesson titled "Unity Brings Prosperity" was held.
On May 6, 2025, an educational quiz titled "Great Victory Masters" took place.
On May 8, 2025, a literary and educational lesson titled "Abai - Wise, Abai is Unique in the Kazakh" was held.

June 4 is one of the sacred holidays of our country - Symbols Day. In this regard, the Language Teaching Center held an educational quiz titled "Artists Who Uplift the National Spirit."
On June 26, 2025, a city competition titled "Homage to the Homeland" was held.
On September 8, 2025, an educational lesson titled "The Great Teacher of the Nation" was held in honor of the enlightener, scientist, founder of linguistics, and national teacher Ahmet Baitursynuly.
From September 10-12, 2025, the Kurchatov City Language Teaching Center held a campaign titled "Let's Speak Kazakh."
A game lesson for teaching the Kazakh language to civil servants was held at the Language Teaching Center.

On October 21, 2025, the 4th general education school of the Department of Education of Kurchatov City, Abaï Region, wrote a National Dictation.

On November 6, 2025, the "Aisyl Azheler" group of the House of Friendship actively participated in the National Dictation, enhancing their literacy and interest.

On December 11, 2025, the Language Teaching Center held a city competition titled "Eternal Country - Our Great Kazakhstan" to honor the history and culture of the country, promote national values, develop language culture, expand the use of the state language, and foster national consciousness and patriotic spirit.
From December 8-11, 2025, in honor of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a city essay writing competition titled "Independence is the Most Sacred Concept" was held at the Language Teaching Center to enhance the creative abilities of listeners, promote national spirit, and strengthen respect for national values.
On December 24, 2025, a challenge titled "Congratulations to Ordinary Workers" was held in honor of the results of the Year of Working Professions.

- Various competitions and contests are organized annually among employees of government agencies, city institutions, and military personnel on different topics.
- The educational process is complemented by cultural and cognitive events alongside the formation of language skills.
- Additionally, integrated lessons in three languages are held, providing opportunities to reinforce language knowledge through various intellectual games.
